UWS hosts ‘Yellowjacket For a Day’ event

The University of Wisconsin Superior hosted high school students today as a part of their Yellowjacket For a Day program. This program allows students grades nine through twelve to try out facilities at the university.

There are several different programs offered by UWS that students can partake in. They range from athletic challenges to diversity events. Julie Fruehauf, the outreach program coordinator for the university hopes that event like these will link the community and the campus while inspiring the next generation of college students. She states, “This is a great opportunity for students to be able to use our resources, use our facilities and hopefully someday become UWS alumni.”

Yellowjacket For a Day welcomes all local high school students and encourages them to explore their post-secondary options with the campus.
