Two people face multiple charges for burglary case and dog killing in Virginia

Prosecutors have filed nine charges against two people for a burglary call in Virginia.

The criminal complaint said this unfolded early Friday morning on the 600 block of 15th Street North.

According to the Virginia Police- Dakota Jakob Sandberg and Heather Ann Nappa had entered the unlocked home wearing black face masks.

Sandberg allegedly pointed a firearm at the woman who lived at the house and demanded money. Police say he then shot the dog, who did not survive.

The 24-year-old woman was not hurt. She knew the female suspect. Police say there is no active threat to the public. The motive, according to the complaint, was money owed between the women.
