Great Tails Animal Rescue has big dreams. They currently are foster-only for animals in Itasca County.

Co-founder Lacey Paulley shared, “When the old rescue closed down, we knew there was a need. A few of us got together at a coffee shop, and said what can we do. And that’s kind of how it started. I’ve loved animals my whole life.”

But they have plans to build a shelter. The city of Cohasset has conveyed six acres of land for it.

“We are very fortunate that Cohasset is a progressive community and they look at us as a business coming in and as a public service,” added Roberta Yates, secretary of the organization.

Now it’s about fundraising. And you can help make their dreams come true, by attending their Annual GTAR gala. It’s a masquerade event on Friday the 21st.

The beautiful Barn in the Woods in Bovey has donated the breathtaking space for it.

Come enjoy appetizers, dinner, drinks, music, a silent auction, and a costume contest!

Organizer Sandy Wagner said, “It’s going to be so much fun. A little different, and it’s going to feel good. If you enjoy animals, we’d love for you to come out and see us.”

Tickets are $100 and can be picked up at Sammy’s Pizza in Grand Rapids, Davis Oil, both who are big supporters, or by calling Great Tails. 218-398-6191
