Superior School Board votes on new boundaries

After a unanimous vote, the School District of Superior Board of Education voted on new elementary school boundaries during a meeting on Monday evening. The decision came from a years-long study into the school capacities and how to better utilize their spaces. These new boundaries will go into effect starting the 2024-2025 school year.

The board voted on Option 1, which calls for students in certain areas to move to a new school next school year. According to the school map, NL01 and NL02 are moved back to Northern Lights instead of Cooper. In addition, FC01 and FC06 are moved back to Four Corners instead of Bryant. Overall, a total of 341 number of students would be moved to a new school.

In a statement, District Administrator Amy Starzecki said, “In the coming weeks, before winter break, we will share next steps with our Spartan community. For those with elementary school students next year, we will confirm with all families which school your child will be attending in the 2024-2025 school year as well as the transfer request process for those interested in applying for next fall.”
