Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping, the Spring Craft and Vendor Show is planned for this weekend.

Organizers say they have a huge variety of artists, crafters, company representatives and food vendors.

Wendy and Chuck Smith stopped by the WDIO studios with their art on Monday. Wendy does paintings and Chuck does pottery.

“I really love meeting people and talking about the work and talking about places, for instance, like our Northern Lights, my Northern Lights, paintings. People always ask, Have you seen them? And I go into my stories about how we were out till four in the morning, run around with cameras trying to get the northern lights. So I like talking about the work, the places, you know, meeting people that love the same things as me,” Wendy said.

Chuck added that his art helps ground him, and center him. And as an introvert, he does still enjoy meeting the customers.

“Hearing that, you know, they’ve been using my pots for a year or two or years or however that is. And they enjoy it, that’s great. Because to me, it’s like I always say, it matters what you drink from. You know, when you wake up and have that cup of coffee in the morning, it really matters,” he said.

To meet the Smiths and so many more, mark your calendars. Here are the details about the show.
