Spice & Tea Exchange now open in Lincoln Park

A new shop has opened in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, the Spice & Tea Exchange.

It’s opened by Dennis and Ashley Thielke. They offer dozens of loose-leaf tea blends, plus spices that are blended in-house, artisan sugars, and smoked salts.

Dennis had gone into another Spice & Tea Exchange in Montana and fell in love with it.

“I really liked the Florida Sunshine, their No. 1 blend. And when I ran out at home, I went online to order it, and I looked for stores in Minnesota to stop at, thinking there had to be one in the Mall of America or somewhere to go,” he said. “And there wasn’t.”

There was a button to get more information about opening a franchise, so he clicked there and began the application process.

The Spice & Tea Exchange opens at 10 a.m. seven days a week. It’s at 1929 W Superior St. in Duluth.
