There are two events coming up to honor the sacrifice of our law enforcement officers.

The Law Enforcement Memorial Service and Luncheon will be in Duluth on Thursday, May 18th, at 12pm at the Great Lakes Ballroom at the Holiday Inn.

And now, there is a new option. The Law Enforcement Memorial Service and Dinner is on Monday, May 15th, at 6pm, at the Mt. Iron Community Center.

The hope is to get more public to attend.

Sheriff Gordon Ramsay will be the speaker at both.

“The whole purpose behind it is to honor those line, those officers who have given their life in the line of duty, as well as to honor the officers that are currently serving. And with the atmosphere we just experienced recently, with two officers getting killed in Wisconsin and one down in Pope County, they need to know that people are backing them. And one way to do that is just to show up with your with your body, with your family and say, we’re going to be here for you and honor you,” shared Kevin Norton the Executive Director of the St. Louis County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.
