Red Cross and Bent Paddle Brewing host CPR training

The American Red Cross partnered with Bent Paddle Brewing to hold a free hands-only CPR training Thursday afternoon. Several nursing students from St. Scholastica made their clinical project this semester to bring hands-only CPR training to the community. They were assisted by trained Red Cross volunteers in the Bent Paddle tap room.

The Red Cross stated that there has been a lot of attention on the importance of life-saving skills, particularly since Damar Hamlin going into cardiac arrest during an NFL game.  They also said that it only takes about 15-20 minutes to learn this critical skill and that the goal of the training was to make a big difference in the community by getting hundreds of people trained to make a lifesaving difference if the moment arrives.
