Public meetings scheduled to learn about lead water service replacements

The City of Duluth will begin construction on projects to replace lead water service lines in two Duluth neighborhoods. According to City officials, the E Eighth Street pilot lead water service replacement project in 2023 brought lead water service replacements to 92 services in the pilot area at no-cost. Now, work will begin in Lincoln Park and the Gary neighborhood.

According to a release from the City of Duluth, the 2024 projects will provide no-cost lead water service replacements to 346 homes, of which 17 are childcare facilities.

The public is invited to attend the two informational meetings to learn about project timelines and how the construction will impact residents and businesses during this replacement process.
