Plant kit and seed sale a success in Carlton County

Hundreds of plant kits are now in the hands of eager gardeners in Carlton County.

The 4th annual Native Plant Kit and Seed Mix Sale helped 100 people with over 200 orders.

There’s enough to plant over 50 acres. The sale closed on May 7th, and pickup day was Friday in Carlton.

Cameron Gustafson, Community Conservationist at Carlton Soil and Water Conservation District, said, “These kits are specifically designed for different purposes. Some are for shoreline stabilization projects for people on lakes and rivers. Others are pollinator plants to help increase food for pollinators around the area.”
