The League of Minnesota Cities is a chance for city officials to celebrate successes and learn from each other.

Over 700 elected and appointed officials from cities all across Minnesota gathered at DECC. The highest turnout of the annual event in 20 years.

During this event, they speak on legislation, finance, human resources, and it’s also a great opportunity to network.

This year- there’s a lot of interest in new cannabis legislation.

President of the League of Minnesota Cities, Jenny Max tells WDIO, “I think one of the big challenges is understanding what the new framework and structure is. And understanding where cities will come into play with the zoning regulations that we need and other permitting and licensing that will come. I think in the next two month, we’ll start to figure out how that applies to everyone.”

The event runs three days, June 21-23, 2023.
