Miller Hill Mall update one week later, and Michael’s remains closed

One week after a partial roof collapse at the Miller Hill Mall, more businesses are reopening.

Applebee’s and Noodles reopened on Tuesday. Other stores along the Highway 53 side opened on Monday. Large cranes remain on site, doing snow removal.

Inside, we could see a temporary wall up, looking from Barnes and Noble towards Express.

The mall said they are doing a phased re-opening.

Essentia Health-Miller Hill Health Plaza has opened. The Center for Personal Fitness opened the doors Saturday.

Additionally, the Therapy and Performance Center, Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center and the Essentia Health-Miller Hill Clinic resumed regular operating hours on Monday.

Essentia Health Surgery Center-Miller Hill and Essentia Health-Miller Hill Pharmacy are set to reopen Wednesday. This follows rigorous inspection by city staff, fire and structural engineers, according to Essentia.

Meanwhile, across the highway at Stoneridge Shopping Center, Michael’s is closed.

Crews are working on removing snow from the roof.
