Mayor Emily Larson launches campaign for third term

Standing in front of supporters on the newly rebuilt Lakewalk, Mayor Emily Larson announced she is running for a third term.
She first took office in 2016, after being on the city council as well.
“We have more work to do,” she explained. “I don’t take for granted your trust and confidence in me, and I’m not standing here because this is an easy time to lead. I’m standing here precisely because it’s not. This is an incredibly hard and important time in our pandemic and community recovery; who leads the city, and how they lead it, matters.”
Tuesday evening, Larson’s campaign will host a campaign kick-off event at Blacklist Brewery, 206 East Superior Street at 5:00 pm.
