Male detained for pending Threats of Violence, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstructing charges

Duluth Police responded to an agitated male at approximately 4:45p.m., Tuesday. The man was making threats to a female who was believed to be in the residence. The comments made by the male lead police to further believe there was a female inside. The male barricaded himself in an apartment and refused to exit the residence. Several apartments were temporarily evacuated as this incident unfolded.

The Duluth Police Department’s Crisis Response Team and Tactical Response Team responded to the scene and attempted to negotiate with the male. After multiple failed attempts to get the male to exit the residence, TRT forced entry into the apartment. No female was located in the apartment.

The man was apprehended and cleared by medical responders on the scene before being transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance.  He was booked at the St. Louis County Jail for pending Threats of Violence, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstructing charges.
