Lyric Opera of the North is holding their fall shows on Sunday and Monday. The performances will be held at Clyde Iron Works, 2920 W Michigan Street, Duluth.

Tickets will be sold at the door as well as online. The show on Sunday evening will start at 4:00 p.m. and the show Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Now in their 19th season, you can enjoy the performance “Speed Dating” written by Michael Ching.

Part of the magic of Speed Dating Tonight! is that no two productions are exactly alike.

Stage Director Jeff Madison says that the writer, Ching, wrote a beginning and ending to the piece. The rest is comprised of around 90 tunes in which the audience gets to decide and kind of write their own story.

The performers will have around 5 minutes to form a connection, hence the name Speed Dating. Madison says that they are especially excited to have the venue at Clyde Iron Works.

“The best part about the venue is that Clyde Iron Works is a fun place to go. You can go and have something to eat, get a drink, come in, see the show, head back to the bar. And there isn’t a bad seat in the house,” said Madison.
