Rain showers will likely return this evening and carry us through the weekend. An active weather pattern will lead numerous rain chances over the next several days. The Northland may pick up anywhere from .5” to 2” depending on where you live. Because of this approaching rain, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for many parts of the region through Sunday. Saturated grounds along with continuous snowmelt may lead to additional flooding in areas prone to flooding.

As a rather large low settles over Michigan, winds will gradually increase through the weekend too. We will be seeing gusty conditions, especially on Sunday when 40-50 mph are possible. Cold enough air will seep into the Northland late Saturday and Sunday for periods of snow. Some areas east of the Twin ports toward the U.P. of Michigan and Arrowhead may see some accumulations. Temperatures look to rebound and become more seasonal by the middle of next week with more sunshine.
