May 9th: Rain tomorrow then a great weekend

Rain tomorrow then a great weekend

Tonight, high pressure will continue to be in control and as a result a Frost Advisory has been issued for the Arrowhead including Duluth until 8am Friday. There is a Freeze Warning for all our northern Wisconsin viewers.

A cold front will move across the region from northwest to southeast Friday and will cause scattered showers and a few thunderstorms in the morning through the afternoon. The showers will likely arrive in the Twin Ports by the early afternoon. The precipitation amounts will generally be around a tenth of an inch for most locations, but a few spots could potentially receive a quarter inch or more. As the Minnesota Fishing Opener rolls in sunshine warmth returns.

Temperatures look pleasant this weekend with sunshine and scattered showers for the Minnesota fishing opener. Most of the light rain this weekend will likely occur during the early morning hours and clear by the mid-morning and afternoon. Temperatures this weekend will range from the low to upper 60s with a few low 70s possible inland. Mother’s Day looks great with warm weather and sunshine with increasing clouds and rain possible by late Sunday afternoon and evening.
