Justin Liles: Improvements the rest of the week

March 27th: Light snow continues tonight

Light snow continues tonight

The low responsible for the snowstorm we have been dealing with over the last few days continues to impact the Northland. This moisture wrapping around the low will slowly diminish by Thursday as the low moves farther to the northeast. Breezy winds out of the west along the more snow this evening will create pockets of poor travel around the region at least through midnight. As Thursday bring in calmer condition’s skies will begin to clear from east to west. Some afternoon sun is likely in the Twin Ports and northern Wisconsin with temperatures climbing back into the 30s.

Another round of snow is possible late Friday into Saturday. Snow will begin up north late Friday afternoon and evening. Most of the Northland will see 1-5” with the higher end up north and the lower end from the Twin Ports south. The holiday weekend travel looks good. We may see some light snow but nothing to get in a fuss over. Temperatures are expected to climb through the weekend and into next week. By the middle of next week we are back into the mid to upper 40s.
