Skies are mostly clear with winds out of the south at 5 mph with occasional gusts to 10 mph. These clearer skies will allow us to see a big bright “Blue Moon”. The moon won’t be blue its just the second blue moon this month. Winds are expected to increase tomorrow morning to 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20-25. Temperatures will continue to climb as we head into the holiday weekend. There is a slight chance of precipitation early Friday morning, but given the dry air at the surface, it will likely be sprinkles at best.

This will be the last chance of precipitation before moving into the holiday weekend where dry and warm conditions are expected. Winds through the weekend will be mainly out of the south/southwest ushering in temperatures well above normal with high in the low to upper 90s. Many record highs are in jeopardy of being broken Sunday. The Duluth International airport may see it first 90° early September reading since 1984.
