GoFundMe accounts set up for two young girls involved in separate crashes

Two terrible crashes have involved young girls in the Northland in the past week.

The first was when a vehicle hit a moose last Saturday. Katie Johnson was a passenger in the vehicle. The Rock Ridge hockey player remains in the hospital in Duluth, after serious injuries.

According to a post from the hockey team, Johnson can’t move her legs, but is regaining some feeling.

The second crash was on Halloween, when a car crashed on the Vermilion Trail. It flipped several times, and 5-year-old Isela died from her injuries.

Her mother posted on the GoFundMe that she’d like to bring Isela home to Chicago for a memorial service.
