The Gobble Gallop inspired many people to take to the Downtown Duluth street for some exercise before the big meal.

The Duluth Running Company planned events for the entire family including: Gobble Gallop 5K, the Tough Turkey 1-miler, and the Gobble Giddy Up! 1/4 mile kids’ run.

Some folks dressed in their most festival turkey day garb including runner Laura Mullen, “I am keeping my hat on for the run. I felt like have some fun with it and stay on theme.”

“I just feel like we’re going to be eating all day and lying around. so it feel really good to get out into the community and do something fun that’s active and in the morning,” she told WDIO News.

This is the 18th annual running of the Gobble Gallop.

The Duluth Running Company will donate a part of the proceeds to the Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center.
