Frozen Force Artist Showcase makes its debut

The Frozen Force Artist Showcase took place Saturday evening at the AAD Shrine and Event Center in Hermantown. Guests were able to enjoy original artwork from area artists who offered SciFi and Fantasy art and autographs. All the artists submitted original artwork for silent auctions and raffles. There was also plenty of free gifts and merchandise for guests to choose from. A spaghetti dinner and beverages were provided to attendees by Lake Superior Catering and Bernick’s.

“Yeah, this is the first annual hopefully Frozen Course artist showcase,” said Stephen Kaarbo, president of MNSWCA. “We have a Star Wars focus because I also run a Star Wars fan club, but we also have other fandoms like DC, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Naruto, pretty much any kind of nerd culture, geek, culture, fandom.”

Donations and proceeds from the silent auctions and raffles went towards supporting the Mn Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders.
