Donate to Have a Heart, Help a Neighbor on Good Morning Northland

Friday is the 19th annual “Have a Heart, Help a Neighbor” campaign for the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Each year, Good Morning Northland and WDIO join Second Harvest to help raise money and bring in food to help our friends and family in need this holiday season.

Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank’s mission is to feed Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin’s hungry by rescuing and distributing food and engaging the region in the fight against hunger. The “Have a Heart, Help a Neighbor” campaign has raised 10,457 pounds of food, $147,233 and ensured 570,499 meals since inception back in 2004.

Please join us during Good Morning Northland on Friday. We will be broadcasting LIVE from the First United Methodist Church (Coppertop Church) at 230 E Skyline Parkway in Duluth from 5 a.m. – 8 a.m. We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food and money. Stop by and say hello to Dann Saxton and Brandon Weatherz.

You can also make a donation by calling our phonebank at 1-877-949-0383 or by making a donation on the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank’s website at https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=E356486&id=1

For every dollar received, they are able to buy three meals.

All morning long, Good Morning Northland will be bringing us stories about how Second Harvest helps our community. You will hear from members of our community and enjoy holiday music from local musicians and choirs.
