Free appreciation lunch planned for WWII, Korean War vets at West Duluth American Legion

Appreciation lunch for Korean and WWII veterans planned for April

The West Duluth American Legion Post 71 is planning a free lunch for WWII and Korean War veterans in April.

The West Duluth American Legion Post 71 wants to honor our surviving WWII and Korean War veterans. So they are organizing a free appreciation lunch for them on Saturday, April 27th, from 1-4pm.

Veterans from those conflicts, plus a couple of their guests, are welcome.

“We want to thank them for their service, as we are losing more of them each day,” Bob Stephens told us. He’s the office manager at the Legion.

There will be guest speakers, posting of the colors, and taps. Sara Mae’s is providing the food.

You’re asked to RSVP by April 8th: 218-628-1495
