Fatal snowmobile accident on Poplar Lake

The Cook Country Sheriff’s office has reported a fatal snowmobile accident on Poplar Lake.
The deceased has been identified as Jeffrey Knaeble, 38, of Grand Marais.
According the the Sheriff’s office, the victim appears to have crashed Thursday night.
Knaeble was discovered Friday by another snowmobiler.
The investigation is still ongoing.
