For anyone not feeling the drive to run over 26 miles in Grandma’s Marathon, the DECC held a little treat for spectators. Plenty of people were enjoying bacon and a Bloody Mary cheering on the runners for their last stretch to the finish line.

Leah Bryne, a DECC Employee, said watching Grandma’s Marathon while enjoying bacon and a Bloody Mary is like a V.I.P. experience. “We’re having a wonderful day here down at the deck in beautiful Duluth. A beautiful day for all the runners at Grandma’s Marathon and we’ve got our bacon and Bloody Mary bar.” Bryne said.

The bacon and Bloody Mary bar also included other local craft brews in the Duluth area. “So we’ve got a lot of good local treats. The Topside Bloody Mary mix is locally made here in Esko, and we’re just enjoying the beautiful weather and all the people. So this for those people who don’t necessarily like to run but want to come and check out the action.” Bryne said.
