The 22nd of April is earth day, an annual event where people demonstrate support for environmental protection.

To mark this year’s earth day some students of the University of Minnesota Duluth took to the streets of Duluth to clean up dirt on the road and around the campus.

The student started their cleaning from the University campus and walked to Chester Park. The student body head of Sustainability, Ella Stewart had this to day

“So after the snow, it’s really important to clean up. I mean, it’s been super dirty moving into spring and also just to bring students outside, get them involved on Earth Day. Just a lot of people asking what can they do, and this is just one place to start.”
