Duluth Police respond to report of a stabbing Tuesday night

Duluth Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Tuesday night. According to authorities, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a 37-year-old victim with a minor stab wound to his elbow was located at Chum. The man was transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance.

According to a report from the Duluth Police Department, officers were responding to a call of suspicious activity incident in the 100 block of Mesaba Avenue at the same time of the stabbing call. Police say a blood trail was found in the area, and their initial investigation shows this may be the location where the male was originally stabbed.

Police say the victim knows the alledged suspect and a knife was not located at the scene. No one is in custody at this time.

Authoritites continue to investigate the incident.
