Duluth Fire Department responds to structure fire in west Duluth

At 9:30 PM on Tuesday, April 11, Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 515 N 56th Avenue W. Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire burning on the exterior of a duplex at the address. Firefighters quickly extinguished the exterior flames and proceeded into the interior of the building to ensure no fire had spread inside.

All occupants of the building had already safely exited the building and there were no injuries reported. The damage is estimated to be approximately $10,000 to the exterior of the structure and $2000 in smoke damage to the interior.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Duluth Fire Department’s Fire Marshal’s office.
