Duluth crews respond to Tuesday afternoon fire

The Duluth Fire Department responded to a structure fire just after 2:00p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Crews from Miller Hill, Lincoln Park, Spirit Valley, UMD, Woodland and the downtown headquarters
were dispatched to 3035 Hagberg Street to find the front of the four-bedroom residence fully
involved in fire.

Most occupants evacuated safely, but one person was still inside the structure and
was later rescued. The rescued individual was treated and transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to a
nearby hospital for further treatment.
Damage to the structure is estimated at $400k and the incident is under investigation by
the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
