Driver cited after crash on E Superior Street

Duluth Police responded to a crash at the intersection of E Superior Street and 40th Avenue East around noon.
According to the investigators, two vehicles collided. One was a large van and one was an SUV.
Law enforcement said the westbound vehicle went into oncoming traffic. That driver reportedly stated they fell asleep. Officers cited that driver for failure to maintain lane and driving with a suspended license.
The other driver went to the hospital.
The road was closed until tow trucks could clear the scene.
