Driver charged after head-on crash in Duluth

A Duluth man faces several charges after a head-on crash in Duluth last week.

Authorities said that Samuel Mitchell had a blood alcohol level of .25, which is three times the legal limit.

The criminal complaint said the 62-year-old was driving up Central Entrance towards the Mesaba intersection when he hit another vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

The two women in that vehicle suffered injuries, according to the complaint.

Prosecutors filed criminal vehicular operation, DWI, and driving after revocation.
