DNR seeks public comment on Northern St Louis County fishery management

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking public comments and opinions regarding the management plan of fisheries in the Northern St. Louis County area, specifically those in the work area of the International Falls Fishery.

The DNR is reviewing the management fishery plans for Blackduck, Johnson, Kjostad, Loon, Mukooda, Myrtle, and Pelican Lakes. Through Friday, April 21, the DNR will be taking public comments that will assist them in finalizing fishery management plans for the next five to 20 years.

Information regarding the history, water chemistry, water temperature, and species present are some of the specific factors that will be considered as the agency moves forward in updating the management plans.
