Fire destroys home in Vermilion Lake Township near Tower

A fire destroyed a home in Vermilion Lake Township, between Tower and Embarrass, Thursday afternoon.
According to the Northland FireWire, the fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Wahlsten Road.
The home was already engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
There are no reports of injuries.
The Vermilion Lake, Embarrass, Pike-Sandy-Britt, Tower, and Breitung Township fire departments responded to the scene.
The Minnesota DNR and Tower Ambulance Service were also present at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
