Celebrate the best of the winter season with Cold Front February at Bayfront Festival Park, from 12pm-6pm on Saturday Feb. 4th. The free, fun for the whole family event is being sponsored by Duluth Parks and Recreation.

Some of the all day fun activities include Ice Skating, Quinzhee Building, Snow Play Activities, Luge Sledding, also Arts and Crafts. There are also fires for roasting S’mores, and drinking Hot Chocolate, with other activities like Fat Biking, and Backyard Curling. However, there are some scheduled activities at the Cold Front February festival.

David Marc, a resident in Duluth talked more about the Cold Front festival. “It’s going great. They really enjoyed the dog sledding and the obstacle course and the sledding. So a lot of fun activities for them to do.” Marc said.  “Drinking coffee, trying to stay warm. It’s actually not too difficult today, especially after the cold spell we’ve been having. So it’s just fun watching the kids have fun. We’ll see how much they have to have left in their tank after, you know, they’re fueling up on hot cocoa. So that might get them to last till the end.”

These scheduled activities include Youth Dog Sled rides from 12pm-3pm, Tractor Rides from 1pm-4pm. There’s also a Group Winter Bike Ride with Zeitgeist to Ecolibrium3 at 2pm-3:30pm. Also a Palm Swings Golf Contest hosted by Nemadji Golf Course, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Finally, there’s The Spin Collective Fire-dancers at 5:40pm, but of course there’s plenty of activities happening all day.
