Mark your calendars for the annual Children’s Charity Gala for the Northern Lights Foundation.

It’s coming up on Wednesday, October 18th, at the DECC.

The founder of the foundation, Ken Larson, said it’s their biggest fundraiser of the year.

“And we keep growing, and getting more corporate support along the way. Through the donations from the gala and other events, we can help local families in the area who have a child facing life-threatening illness,” Larson said.

Families like the Aleshires. Their daughter, Amelia, was born with complications back in 2019.

She’s now a thriving almost four-year-old.

Tara Aleshire even supported the cause before she had Amelia. So it’s full circle.

“Amelia is the perfect example of what a miracle truly is. Honestly, having the Northern Lights Foundation in our life is part of that whole journey,” she said.

The Aleshires are the feature family for the 2023 gala. They also are double recipients, for their daughter June, as well.
