The Spartan hockey community has kicked off their season by helping their younger classmates.

A clothing and hygiene product drive at the home games this week helped bring in items for the Clothing Closet at the Superior Middle School.

Cenovus employees who have kids on the team worked with different groups to pull this together. Items were brought in to their refinery as well.

The Clothing Closet helps kids who need clothing or school supplies during the year.

Cenovus also donated a $4000 to the school district.
