Carlton county fair is underway

Our WDIO news crew had a blast broadcasting our 5:00 and 6:00 news casts from the Carlton county fair Thursday evening.
Fair board president Heather Wright says the county fair atmosphere is a beautiful vibe and a truly family friendly event.
“At our fair we’re very proud of our animal events,” Wright said with horses triotting nearby. “And our barns specifically, because we work so hard to maintain them, some are over 100 years old.”
Wright says every year they discuss where to put even more animals because their barns are full every year.
Wright said “We even have animal pens built behind the barns becase we have so many participants.”
The Carlton county fair in Barnum has something for everyone.
The 132nd Carlton county fair is at the Barnum fairgrounds and runs through Sunday.
