Brevator man injured in garage fire

A Brevator man was hurt Wednesday afternoon in a garage fire.

The Cloquet Fire Department and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3500 block of Nelson Rd. in Brevator Township at 3:26 p.m..

The 64-year-old man was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s hospital. The county describes his condition as ‘stable but serious.’

The county says the man was reportedly trying to save items from the garage while it was burning

The Cloquet Fire Department was able to knock down the flames quickly.
