Blatnik Bridge public meeting scheduled for May 15

There will be a public meeting hosted jointly by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation to provide an update on the Blatnik Bridge project. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 5 p.m. at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Avenue in Superior.

According to a release sent on Monday, the group will provide an update on the Finding of No Significant Impact documents, environmental process, schedule, and visual quality group. Officials will also provid information about that will begin this summer.

The John A. Blatnik Bridge is jointly owned and managed by MnDOT and WisDOT, with MnDOT taking the lead on this project. More than 33,000 vehicles travel the bridge connecting Duluth and Superior each day.

The public will have time to ask questions following the presentation.
