Bite of Reality gives students at Rock Ridge a chance to try buying on a budget

Bite of Reality on the Range gives students a chance to manage money

Students at Rock Ridge had the chance to buy and budget on Wednesday at the Bite of Reality event.

Seniors at Rock Ridge are getting ready to graduate. And soon they’ll be navigating how to budget their salaries on things like transportation and housing.

On Wednesday, they had a chance to try their hand at it through the Bite of Reality fair.

Put on by Northern Communities Credit Union, JET, and Minnesota North, the event is a fun way to try and balance all the different bills you’ll have.

Students got assigned jobs and salaries and family life, and tried to make it through their month. They’d visit different booths like entertainment, clothing, and housing.

If they ran out of money, they had to head to the credit union booth.
