ATV driver pinned under vehicle in Pike Township

On Thursday night at around 11 p.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an ATV accident in Pike Township.
When first responders arrived, the driver of the ATV was pinned under the vehicle in the ditch. The driver was treated on location before being airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
The name of the driver will be withheld until family members are notified. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Along with the Sheriff’s Office, the Embarrass/Vermillion Fire Department, the Pike Fire Department, Virginia Ambulance service, and Air Memorial helicopter service also assisted at the scene of the accident
