Arrowhead’s Ice Fishing and Winter Show only comes once a year and it features a wide variety of new products and accessories. Whether you need a new challenge, or are novel to the ice fishing scene, you will find what you are looking for here.

“We cater to the twin ports for fishing trips for customers. We bring them out fishing. All they do is show up and it’s all inclusive. And we like to catch fish and we like our customers to catch fish even more,” says Jarrid Houston, Captain Fishing Guide at Houston’s Guide Service.

Without doubt every season comes a new selection of activities for you to enjoy, and in winter there’s a whole host of activities in snow and on ice. However, ice can be dangerous. In addition to causing damage to property like boats and seawalls, it can pose a threat to your life if you try crossing it without the proper safety provisions. Whether you’re going ice fishing, snowmobiling, or just crossing the ice to get to the other side, you need to be aware of the risks and know what to do to keep yourself safe.

“I think one really needs to have a cell phone and a game plan and common sense. The number one thing is common sense. If it doesn’t feel right, chances are it probably isn’t right. So never put yourself in a pickle. Never go off being a pioneer on brand new ways. Make sure you know what you’re doing. And if you don’t, just maybe ask somebody and communicate,” finishes Houston.
