Amazing experience for Hibbing drama kids with a surprise visit from Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet is the toast of the town in Hibbing right now.

He spent time with the drama kids on Thursday. “It was such a treat for my students,” shared Megan Reynolds, the drama director. “We had a great time.”

Chalamet was in town doing research about a Bob Dylan biopic he’s working on. During a tour of the historic high school, he stopped by during a dress rehearsal for their competitive one-act piece.

“As he came up from the back of the house, they were on stage. I said I need everybody out on stage. I have a guest who wants to meet you,” she recalled. “There was some shocked silence.”

“It was a human-relatable moment. Just wanted to talk theater shop. He asked them about the show, and they asked him about being a professional actor, and his process,” she added.
