The Boathouse Bay Project that’s coming to silver day in the next 5 years is said to be Silver Bay’s largest development since 1954.

The development hosted it’s ceremonial groundbreaking today on the coast of Lake Superior with members of the development team, city leaders, and state representatives all speaking on the project.

They believe this new development will be able to help the housing shortage that the city is seeing. As they will construct 24 townhomes, 18 rental bungalows, 7 residential lots, and an Event center spanning from highway 61 to Lake Superior.

Developer John Anderson

The timeline for Boathouse Bay is 5 years, which was set by the city. When asked about his thoughts about the task at hand, Developer John Anderson said, “Responsibility. Responsibility to The City and to Silver Bay to be successful.”

The city says they’ve been in constant communication with John, working together to make something great for the people of Silver Bay. Lana Fralich from the City of Silver Bay says, “From concerns, to excitement, to changes, to environmental stewards, I mean we all want to make sure that we are developing something long term and the best for our community.”
