UW-Superior hosts high schoolers for math meet

UW-Superior hosted their annual High School Mathematics Meet on Wednesday, April 10.

Students competed solving math problems in geometry, calculus, algebra, trigonometry, probability and statistics.

The meet also hosted talks from UW-Superior professors and lecturers.

Over 70 students from 8 different schools throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin attended the meet.

“It’s a super great event for the students to come and learn about some neat math, and also communicate with other students who are interested in the same field,” said UW-Superior Math and Computer Science Department Chair Jonathan Totushek, “For UWS, it’s a great opportunity to really show what we have to offer in math.”
