The City of Superior has officially trademarked the name “Wisconsin’s Winter Capital.” They say that between their snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing trails, Superior should not be overlooked for winter fun.

And it’s not just the holdays that they celebrate. Every January, the city hosts The Lake Superior Ice Festival on Barker’s Island.

Due to all of this winter fun, this season’s tourism campaign will refer to Superior as “Snowperior”.
