Spirit loves Duluth days underway

The City of Duluth invests tourism tax dollars toward Spirit Mountain’s facility and its continued improvements. As a show of support, Spirit Mountain celebrates its love for Duluth by opening its doors to tax paying residents who show proof of residency at a discounted price. Fresh snow and school closers brought many people out of their homes and onto the slopes to take advantage of this opportunity.

Duluth resident Hannah said “It’s an awesome way to get your kids out here at a great cost. Normally rentals for a family of four are over $200. We spent 20 bucks and we’re on the hill.”

“I brought my three kids and me. So, that’s awesome. It is a way to get them to try skiing, that way if they don’t like it, you’re not out a bunch of money.” said Duluth resident Jenny.

This event continues on Sunday. Tickets are available on Spirit Mountain’s website.
