Someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion every two seconds, and that doesn’t change during a national blood shortage.
The Duluth Red Cross is asking you to come down and donate blood at the Miller Hill mall next Thursday July 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or at UW-Superior on Friday, July 21st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Today, Starbucks sponsored a donation event in Duluth and brought donors full boxes of girls scout cookies and cake pops. Starbucks district manager Jody Eamonn says the Red Cross made it easy to donate. “It’s super easy, and a great way to give back to your community. You even get some great stuff in return. One you feel great, but also, you get a cup of coffee and some cookies to go with you.
If you like helping people and free stuff, there are plenty of other opportunities to donate if you visit the Red Cross’s blood donation locater website.
