Lincoln Park community cleanup day is Saturday

Residents of the Lincoln Park community are gathering on April 22 from 9 a.m. to Noon for their annual Lincoln Park Cleanup in honor of Earth Day. This cooperative effort is made possible through the organization efforts of local businesses: Ecolibrium3, Ursa Minor Brewing, Main Street Lincoln Park, the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD), the Rice Lake Port Authority, Waste Management, and Twin Ports Trailer Trash.

In 2022, the event gathered over 80 people and cleaned up 1,440 pounds of trash from the streets. This year the organizers are hoping for the same or a better turnout this year. Ben Hugus of Ursa Minor Brewing , said “The cleanup is one way we show the neighborhood that we care, communities that clean together, stay together.”

“The Earth Day Clean-up Event is an opportunity for community members to come together to create a better environment for everyone that lives, works, and plays in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. We look forward to supporting the many volunteers that participate in this important event, ”adds AJ Axtell of WLSSD.

If you would like to participate in this event, you can register here, with friends, family or on your own.
